Trump is telling us everything

Trump statements about disregarding the parts of the constitution that get in the way of him continuing his crime rampage from the White House are telling. Can you call an American who does not believe in the Constitution a patriot? What do you call someone who wants all the power and has no respect for truth? Why do White Evangelicals support such a person? Why do Republicans refuse to hold Trump accountable for his behavior? A conspiracy takes place when multiple people agree to work toward an outcome. When does constant lying and harassment become an evil conspiracy? The danger to the Constitution and America are real and will continue after Trump is gone. He is the figurehead to a movement that does not want equality, but seeks power at the expense of the soul.

Climate Crash and our politics

We live in important times that will either inspire our progeny or seal their doom. The Republicans deny elections, the climate crisis, the January 6 insurrection, Women’s rights to choose, and the truth; but they still have enough support to perhaps win the house and/or the senate. Americans seem to be confused or avoiding the horrible truth of our times. The desire for, and belief in strongmen signals a cowardice or child-like desire for a protector from thinking about the issues. Vladimir Putin has proven that giving power to one person is not a solution but creates more problems and disaster. I am hopeful that our country has enough people of character to make the best decisions about our leaders and our future. The eternal battle that continues today remains: It is a battle between those who want something for nothing versus those willing to work together for success. Between those who believe in themselves versus those who don’t. Insecurity can appear as racism, anti-semitism, nativism, or sexism, etc. but it is really about true confidence. Don’t let the cowardly Republicans fool you; desiring a strong man is not about strength. Research, communicate, and vote for a better future.

Trump versus America

Any casual observer of American current events and history sees we are in trouble. Friends and foes know that the American people face basic choices about the future. Trump tried a coup once and failed; if Republicans choose him again (as they seem to be ready to do); the rot will move to a dangerous stage of malignancy. People everywhere understand that some Americans hate the idea of America. Tribalism will triumph with Republican support as Nixon’s Southern Strategy morphs into Trumps fascist kleptocracy (related to Putin’s oligarchy?). Racism creates a tax on marginalized minorities that is winked and nodded at by those in on the conspiracy. Whites benefit while marginalized are harmed in the racist version of politics that has dominated our past. Whites will likely lead the way to whatever future we will have in America. If Whites decide to be evil and buy what Trump is selling we will all be in for nasty surprises that will end badly. When Jesus told us to know the truth if we wanted to be free it was a roadmap for life. No matter what your background be a seeker of wisdom and truth; then act accordingly.

The Hits Keep Coming

Anyone who is interested in the truth about the Trump administration can find it; those who want lies can find plenty of those too. America’s enemies must be drinking champagne and doing back flips as they watch our continued division over an ignorant clown named Trump. Some Americans hold up the corrupt clown as some sort of hero while the world sees a conman taking advantage of our many fools fueled by ignorance, racism, and ego-centrism. The January 6th commission has revealed the attempted coup that was assisted by many Republicans during and after the fact. The Trump Attorney General and his daughter both said they believed he had lost the election as did most of his professional campaign staff; will this make any difference to Republicans who want to believe the lie? Probably not. Whether a heavily armed America will wind up in a civil war is anyone’s guess. The hardest part of our current events is how quickly we have turned on each other at the behest of an obvious evil clown named Trump. The January 6th committee is just getting started; it is already too much information about an attack on our country that should have been dealt with in a bipartisan fashion already. We are a weak democracy, and it could get worse.

Pro-Life?

America has a problem. We love to destroy one another. We take issues and divide ourselves over them with a lot of lies thrown in to rationalize our positions; meanwhile reality tells us to stop lying. Deaths due to cigarette smoking continued for years while politicians and corporations lied. Pollution and Climate Crisis kill thousands in America and we still avoid the truth about the depth of knowingly caused destruction. QAnon and White Supremacist lie in a systemic way to point the heavily armed mentally ill at minorities or people they don’t like. Republicans claim to be pro-life but don’t support health care for all, or gun control to stop mentally ill 18 year olds with assault rifles. America is big into death and personal destruction. It is said that courtesy is the lubricant of society, but the “Pro Life” party uses personal attack on any who disagree with them. The January 6 coup attempt should have been enough. The children murdered in Uvalde, Texas are an atrocity that happens because we value the ability to kill and destroy more than the lives of children.

Republican assault on America

The assault on America and it’s values by Republicans who have always falsely sold themselves as super patriots is increasingly dangerous. Republicans lie and cheat at levels far above Democrats, but still regularly claim “both sides do it”, America has become so unbalanced by ethnic-centric self-deception and absorption that we may lose our republic. Conspiracies of lies and criminal acts are supported by the Republican establishment, media groups, and a sizable percentage of Americans. Voltaire said “if they can make you believe absurdities, they can make you commit atrocities”. Darkness and evil are a gathering threat to America and the world. Putin has his cult in Russia, and Trump has his in the United States. Every believer in truth and decency must be prepared to spread truth and counter evil. Climate change and other threats are accelerating the challenge to humanity; our behaviors in this time will define us going forward. Will we act as spiritual beings in this time of challenge, or fleshly creatures absorbed with our own power and survival? Research and plan your communications and your vote to stop attacks on truth and decency in our country and our world.

American values continue to weaken

Politics in America grows more virulent as the country becomes weaker. Why is this happening? Some people say that America’s democratic structure makes it a weak nation, but we can see the results of autocracy in Russia: pathetic failure on many fronts. The problem in America is not that idiotic characters are elected and continuously lie; it is that so many people are motivated to overlook criminality and deception believing they will gain in the end. IF Republicans regain control of Congress and then the presidency: America will have a Wiley Coyote moment; over a cliff waiting to fall. America’s strength has been core values that were not always dominant, but left this country more virtuous than the competition. Americans now threaten to turn the country over to criminals to achieve law and order as absurd as that is. Abraham Lincoln said that America could not be conquered from without but only from within. We are dangerously close to a majority of Americans agreeing to a suicide pact with Republicans. Make sure that no one is above the law (hold all January 6th conspirators accountable) and don’t reward consistent liars or idiots; seek the truth and act to save the American Republic.

Will Democracy trump authoritarian tendencies?

Ukrainians are battling Russian forces sent by a person who has seized control of the government and divided a lot of the money between his friends. America barely missed joining the club of nations run by authoritarians and their oligarchs on January 6th; but we are still awaiting what will happen to the would-be dictator (no charges for an attempted coup or other issues yet). Russians are lied to by state media and live in fear of being thrown in jail for saying the word “war”. Americans are lied to regularly by Republicans and radicalized media that place politics over truth. The battle between democracy and authoritarianism is more obvious after the invasion of Ukraine by Putin, but the result is far from clear. Some Russians dream of a great empire led by their country. They want to feel special and high on the hierarchy of cultures, just like some Americans who dream of an openly racist society that elevates their status. Lazy people with dreams of grandeur are fine with lies and violence to prop up their pathetic egos. Cain slew Able because he felt his brother had something that he lacked and was too weak to work on. Research and act to support truth, freedom, dignity for all, and democracy, Victimizing others will not create stronger people, societies, or futures.

Democracy versus Thugocracy

NATO countries are confronting Russia in Ukraine after years of rampage against Democracy by Putin and his oligarchs. Putin seems driven to undermine democratic governments wherever he can based on his track record. Attacks using dark money, social media, and cyber have been breakthrough tools weaponized by the Putin syndicate. Putin has subdued Russia over the last decade plus, and moved on to external targets including the United States. Ukrainians have rightly claimed that their fight is the fight of all freedom-loving people and history proves them correct. Murders in Europe to intimidate dissidents, sneaky invasions to add territory to Russia, Propaganda, Racism, and support for criminal/far-right politicians (Assad in Syria, Orban in Hungary, Trump in the US, for example). America dodged a bullet when we elected Joe Biden and defeated Trump who wanted to walk in Putin’s authoritarian footsteps. Trump and his January 6 conspirators must still be held accountable before we can move on to strengthen our Republic; but Ukrainians are in the same fight. The fight against lying thugs who want to create a world in their own image and a hell for decent people.

The American coup failed, but the Russian coup should succeed

On January 6th Donald Trump urged people to go to the Capitol as part of his effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election; he failed. I hope that the Russian people rise up to remove a homicidal megalomaniac Putin from destroying thousands of lives in his drive for Russian empire and self-aggrandizement. It is pathetic that people are roped into supporting lies and idiots; but it has happened here in the USA and now Russia. We have been blessed that ego-centric clowns have been revealed and dismissed here in the United States. I hope the good people of Russia can see the way to rejecting idiocy and advancing the cause of human decency and righteousness. I do not support the destruction of human life, but I would rather see a few people removed from power by whatever means, than see the deaths of thousands. The people of Ukraine have shown amazing courage and fortitude while the rest of us watch and hope for the best. We must all do more than hope; every politician should be pushed to pursue righteousness instead of power. Here in America we have evil Republican politicians who must be held accountable after there attempt to overthrow democracy to grow their own power through Trump. As citizens of the world we must move to halt the Climate Crisis while supporting democracy and rejecting the evil of fascism. Putin has used racism and fascism to enhance his own power and influence. We are in days that challenge us to choose between being rats, or human beings striving to be the best version of ourselves.
