Government repression in America

Recent reports of scientists at the Center for Disease Control not being allowed to speak, and now Dr. Fauci not allowed to testify to the House of Representatives are disturbing. A pandemic has hit the United States hard leaving many questions about how our government handled the threat. Our experts are being muzzled by the Trump administration. After losing tens of thousands of Americans we have a right to know what happened and how we will proceed. I hope that the United States begins to take advantage of our powerful institutions to defeat the COVID-19 threat, but we have not done so yet. Leadership makes the difference between potential and achievement. Vote in 2020!

Hijacked medical supplies

I have heard many stories of states bidding against one another to purchase medical supplies which are suddenly taken by FEMA or other federal government agencies. Where are those supplies going? Several governors have alleged that the current administration is playing politics with medical supplies during this pandemic. The supplies are taken from states seen as politically hostile and sent to friendly ones. It is critical that accountability is restored to government by ensuring that the truth emerges, and we do not slide into a nation of shadows. In a nation of shadows rumors and corruption are rampant while truth dies of strangulation. It is critical that once the current administration concludes the truth is brought to light by hearings or trials.

Health advisory for Presidential press conferences?

We have come to the point where dangerous and incorrect information is coming from the White House and Trump’s mouth. Nations, companies, and people around the world are stunned that the current president is so ignorant and unaware that he would recommend injecting yourself with disinfectant. At the same press conference yesterday it was also suggested that people put light inside their bodies. This was not the first time that dangerous statements and/or lies were propagated by the president. America has a severe problem that is not getting better. We spend trillions of dollars to maintain a government to make our lives better, and yet we have put a person in charge of it who appears to lack basic mental and character skills. Please research the candidates and vote in 2020!

A president of character is needed

Many Americans are looking for a president of character who can stand by his word and be what he appears to be. Trump represents the opposite of what built America and what an enemy of the country would want occupying the presidency. A man whose only consistencies are lying and covering up while saying one thing and doing another. The current president excels at turning Americans against one another and their own best interest. He openly has said that he believes foreigners over his own intelligence agencies as proven by the current pandemic; which he was warned about, but did nothing to prepare for. Many thoughtful and patriotic Americans wonder openly who he is working for; himself, foreign oligarchs, a foreign power? The upcoming vote is critical to Americans standing up for themselves and all those who sacrificed to create a nation of laws that was the envy of the world. Please research from multiple sources and vote in 2020.

We have a candidate

The choice that we will have in November 2020 is shaping up as the Democratic primary ends today with Bernie Sanders’ endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden. Joe Biden or Donald Trump. I would assume that most serious people who have observed the current president have made up their minds already. It is important that every voter take a serious look at the positives and negatives for each candidate. Joe Biden has a long history of government service and Trump has more than three years in office for everyone to research. Trump is undoubtedly concerned about the many legal issues that would be in his future if he were not the president and will do everything possible to avoid jeopardy. Biden is a known moderate with tendencies toward social justice and fiscal responsibility. Trump is a mercurial liar who regularly pushes against the US Constitution, debt limits, science, and the idea of a republic. Get the facts and vote as if the lives of those you love depends on it.

Be a mountain, or lean on one – African Proverb

During the COVID19 pandemic we have seen governors and local officials rise to fill the breach left by the current president. There is a lot of discussion about when do we go back to work, and how will the decision be made. Trump says it is in his head and doctors say we need widespread testing and a plan. The African proverb “Be a mountain, or lean on one” tells us that under stress we need strength and resolve. If we cannot find strength in ourselves we need to seek it out as a critical resource. The current president says he is not responsible and that the states are on their own with the government as a backup. Many state leaders have accused the administration of playing favorites during a time of lethal pandemic. We need accountability if the nation is to thrive in the future. Vote in 2020.

Firing the Inspector Generals

Why would a president want to fire the inspector generals whose job is to make sure that the law is being followed? One inspector general who was fired had been in his job for the past two presidents; one democrat and one republican. Suddenly with 2 trillion American dollars to spend the current president feels it is a good time to appoint people loyal to him. Many people feel that they can no longer be outraged by this president and there is no floor to his destructive behavior. What we see in this presidency stopped being political a long time ago. The next election is about character and decency. Every American voter will choose between decency or indecency in the next election: no matter what narrative they want to believe. The choice we make will define each individual and the country. God bless America! Vote 2020!

Who fired Captain Crozier?

Who is responsible for firing Captain Crozier from his job as commander of the aircraft carrier USS Teddy Roosevelt? Was it the acting Secretary of the Navy? Was it the current President of the US because the situation made him look bad? Was this something that had to happen while the ship was in the middle of dealing with a health emergency? The United States federal government’s response to the COVID19 pandemic has been a failure of leadership on a massive scale. For the same shallow executive branch to attack a Navy officer for displaying leadership to save the lives of his sailors is a degenerative moment set on top of many other failures. Right now the United States appears to be anything but united in the response to the pandemic. Vote 2020!

Now and Later

The Trump administration has developed a record of ignoring science and medicine when they can. The story of the Covid19 virus in the United States is a story of a lack of knowledge leading to a lack of urgency and disaster. This week the Trump administration rolled back EPA fuel standards that were developed to fight the climate crisis which they also deny. When the lights come on and people begin to ask questions the administration has no problem lying or deflecting blame. I believe the virus we are currently battling is a chance to get better at dealing with coming challenges using science and truth. The election of 2020 may be an existential fork in the road for humanity. Please take the time to study and think before you vote in November. If we are not careful this administration will kill us now and later. Vote as if your life, or your families lives depended on it; they do.

The Power of Words

Words matter because they are the way we communicate our thoughts and ideas. It is true that a large percentage of communication is non-verbal, but the words we choose and our tone are what we cling to. Listening to a Jocko Podcast it was revealed that the most important c;characteristic of a Marine officer is tact. Knowing what to say, when to say it, and how to say it is a cornerstone of leadership. I recently listened to two politicians discuss America going back to work. One politician just threw out a date and said he would like to see everyone back to work by that date, the other said there will come a point where the threat of virus and the need to get back to work will cross, but he did not know when that would be. The two men likely had similar ideas about Americans returning to work, but one man had little tact and is not seen by many as much of a leader.
