People in Virginia and Kentucky seem to understand democracy requires participation. When the people of America turn out to vote good things seem to happen. Dark money, oligarchs, and wanna-be dictators seem to be reduced when the people educate themselves and vote their interest. Today is a hopeful day if it represents the wave of people powered legislatures and officials coming to save the future of the greatest republic to have ever existed. We have all watched how badly people can be misled, and when you combine this with low turnout elections disaster can strike. We should all take heart that lies and fear will be put in their place by the American citizen.
