The Republican attack on democracy has had a run of high energy among the minority of Americans in their base. The California recall is hopefully the beginning of the end of amoral Republican denial of truth, and science, in their lust for power. Republican politicians must be made to realize that cruelty, criminality, amorality, and authoritarianism are not a winning mix. Coming elections must send a clear message to the Republican Party that madness and Trumpism are losing ideas. Research, act, and vote as if living a decent life on this planet depended on it.
